And if a block has weeks on it we haven’t gotten to, we can pick another week. Or I suppose the player could recite all of the memory work weeks on the block. I may have the player choose, or just choose myself. We can use the game with only the subjects for earlier weeks’ review, or we can chose to use one of the weeks on the back of the block too. We play the game like normal Jenga, except that each player also recites the corresponding memory work on the block they choose. Hopefully the pictures below will show what I’m (not doing a very good job of) explaining. This averaged out to about 4 weeks labeled on each block. Then, I labeled weeks on the back of the blocks evenly distributed for all of the subjects. I included our scripture memory work, so each subject got 6-7 blocks. I labeled the grammar subjects (evenly divided) directly on all of the Jenga blocks with a sharpie. It’ll now work for memory review, no matter how many weeks we are into the new grammar. I always make the rule that if they pick a piece that has a problem that we already completed before it fell, they get -2 points.just to make it fun. Depending on the time left, we play again. If they knock it down, their team goes back to 0 points.Ħ. Any other team that gets it right gets one point.ĥ. The kid who picked the piece's team gets two points if they get it right. Teams have one dry erase board each and they hold up their answers all at the same time (on my 3-2-1 coundown). ![]() There is also ones piece that says "Bonus" and is worth three free points to the person that picks it.Ĥ. If it is a blank, their turn has passed and no problem is worked out. If a kid picks a piece with a number, the whole class does the problem in the packet that corresponds. Teams take turns sending one representative from their team up to pick a piece. ![]() Each team of 4 kids gets a copy of a review packet with 27 problems.ģ. You can do more or less.I just like the number 27.
